Robert and Helen Aspden welcome you to the world of Buttertons products. Buttertons Lane Farm is the home of the Buttertons Big Brown Cow and the Buttertons Chucky Hen. We began farming at Buttertons Lane in 1986 and introduced Brown Swiss cows to the herd in 1992. Although the farm is not organic it is farmed using organic principles resulting in products that are as near to nature as possible.
We feel that what we eat is important and the animals that give us the opportunity to create the products for you to eat are important too, therefore the animals on the farm are not farmed intensively.
The environment is important to us therefore we enjoy the company of many species of wild life and are part of the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme through Natural England.
